A lifelong artist, Alana began a serious study of face painting around 2006. With a background in fine art, graphic art, and animation, Alana loves taking face painting far beyond the realm of cute little hearts and balloons on the cheek. In search of deepened skills, Alana has spent hundreds of hours painting and practicing.
She has attended the Living Canvas convention, and taken classes and workshops with advanced painters such as Gary Cole, Christopher Agostino, Gina Niemi, Jodi Carr, and Shannon Fennell. In addition, Alana has gratefully received training and mentorship from many experienced body artists who have generously shared their talent and skills.
Alana's latest education comes from Brian Wolfe, who along with his brother Nick won the International Face and Body Painting Competition in Seboden, Austria. Alana organized a two-day Wolfe class covering dramatic face and body painting techniques, plus prosthetics in silicone and latex.
Her next phase of training will be a week at the Las Vegas Face Paint and Body Art convention. All of this training is a means toward more expressive, beautiful, unique, and fun painting on YOU and the ones you love!
